Lemon pound cake cookies Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- lemon zest (from 1-2 lemons)
- 1½ cups granulated sugar
- 8 tablespoons butter, room temperature
- 3 tablespoons butter-flavor shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon lemon extract
- Lemon juice (from 1 lemon)
- ⅓ cup buttermilk
- 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (may need a bit more or less)
- lemon zest, garnish
