• ¼ cup applesauce
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 teaspoons baking soda
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 3½ teaspoons cinnamon, divided
• ½ teaspoon nutmeg
• ¼ teaspoon allspice
• 2½ cups Granny Smith apples, about 4 apples (peeled and diced/grated into tiny pieces)
• 1 cup buttermilk
• VANILLA GLAZE
• 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
• 2-3 Tablespoons half n half
• splash of vanilla extract
